1. Understanding of organisational theories.
2. Ethical codes of conduct relevant to health and social care practice.
Skills
1 Ability to apply theory to practice.
2 Ability to use ‘Reflection on Action’ to analyse own, or observed, practice.
3 Ability to present material in a clear and coherent manner, which demonstrates good literature searching and referencing skills
4 Ability to undertake, and log the hours spent, on a work‐based learning placement.

Assessment
Compulsory Completion of 50 hours’ placement hours to be signed off by the placement provider. Testing LO S4.
This is to be followed by:
2000-word report, in combination with the completion of a written portfolio on organisational theories and your work‐based learning placement provider and a reflective report based on successful completion and experiences of the work‐based learning placement. Testing LOs K1, K2, S1, S2 and S3.
Your portfolio will be assessed against the specific learning outcomes identified above. You should consider the following criteria as a guide to producing your work in addition to the university’s generic assessment criteria:

STRUCTURE OF THE 2000-WORD REPORT
- Details of the placement organization including the nature of its activities
- Critical analysis of your experiences and performance within the organization in relation to the organisational theories in development of your skills, knowledge and understanding
- Critical evaluation of the role of others in the organization
- Use of appropriate theoretical concepts including reference to models of reflection and experiential learning
NB: The 2,000-word report forms part of your placement portfolio/handbook and should all be submitted as one document as there will be only ONE submission link.
If you do not complete the 50 hours placement, You Will Not Pass this Module!
- Grading
Your mark and feedback will be made available to you electronically once the internal moderation has taken place, which is after 4 weeks from your submission deadline.
- Submission instructions
Your submission will be on your module space on Canvas. Please refer to the ‘General Assessment Guidance’ under the Assignment tab, for detailed instructions on how to submit and how to check for your marks and feedback.
