Assignment briefing and mapping to unit : Explain the process of social development in children aged 0-11, starting with Bowlby’s Maternal Deprivation Hypothesis (attachment theory) as the basis (1.1, 2.1, 2.2). You will then need to compare and contrast theories of cognitive development (Piaget, Vygotsky, Bruner), giving practical examples of how children of this age group learn and develop. (3.1, 3.2).
